Abstract

Jenis-jenis investasi yang dilakukan di luar negeri dikenal sebagai investasi asing atau direct foreign investment (DFI) dan sangat mempengaruhi kinerja perusahaan multinasional (MNC) dan negara-negara yang terlibat  dalam aktifitas bisnis tersebut.  Berbagai faktor yang perlu diperhatikan seperti faktor buruh, nilai tukar, kestabilan politik, faktor ekonomi,lokasi dan yang lainnya, yang mempengaruhi alokasi modal internasional.  Makalah penelitian ini bertujuan meneliti dan menganalisis tinjauan pustaka yang berfokus kepada faktor yang menjadi pendorong dan penghambat penanaman modal asing atau DFI pada perusahaan multinasional.  Studi literatur ini  melibatkan beberapa negara tanpa memandang letak geografisnya dan fakta utamanya adalah kebijakan ekonomi, politik, penghapusan hambatan perdagangan, nilai tukar, PDB,lokasi dan beberapa faktor lainnya menjadi faktor yang mempengaruhi perusahaan multinasional melakukan penanaman modal asing langsung atau DFI.
