Abstract
This study is entitled "The Role of SMEs in Economic Growth in Indonesia. The purpose of this study was to determine the extent to which the role of SMEs influences existing economic growth in Indonesia. This study looks at the effect of independent variables, namely the number of business units and export of SMEs to the dependent variable, namely the GDP value in Indonesia. This research hypothesis shows that SME business units and exports have a positive and significant influence on economic growth in Indonesia. This type of research is quantitative descriptive research using secondary data. Secondary data used comes from the data of the Ministry of Cooperatives and SMEs. Data analysis method used is Multiple Linear Regression in estimating the results of his research. In testing the suitability of the theoretical model, the Test of Goodness of Fit is used in the form of a coefficient of determination (R-Square) to see how much variable the role of SMEs has in economic growth in Indonesia. Partial and simultaneous testing is also carried out to see whether the independent variables have a significant effect on the dependent variable individually and together.
