Abstract

This research identifies the presence of obstacles in the development of restaurants in the city of Medan. These obstacles appear in most of the restaurants so it can reduce the growth and development of restaurants. This research uses data croos section by taking a sample of the research taken is as much as 60 business houses. Methods of data analysis used path analysis. The results of the deliberations of the path analysis showed that the less innovative product/taste food effect directly to development and obstacles can also be an indirect effect of declining sales potential to influence the confidence (as an intervening variable) and then to the resistance development. influence indirectly through confidence was smaller than the influence directly against barriers to development. These results indicate that the difficulty of access to funding has no effect against the development of resistance through the confidence as intervening variable, or it can be inferred that the confidence not to be variables that mediate between the difficulty of access barriers against development funding. Based on this, then the research hypothesis stated that the difficulty of access to funding development barriers through confidence.
