Abstract

This research analyses the inequality of inter-district income in Medan. Using the Gini Ratio analysis. The results of the study 8 sub-districts have low inequality with a value of a Gini ratio of the < 0.30 are Medan Tuntungan subdistrict, Medan Belawan, Medan Sunggal, Medan Helvetia, Medan struggle, Medan Deli, Medan Labuhan, and Medan Marelan. As for the sub-districts that have a 5-type district (Gini ratio of 0.31 – 0.40) Medan Amplas subdistrict, Medan Johor, Medan Denai, Medan Polonia, Medan Timur. And for the sub-district with high inequality there are 8 districts (Gini ratio of > 0.41) is Medan Area, Medan City, Medan Maimun, Medan Baru, Medan Selayang, Medan Petisah, Medan Barat, Medan Tembung.
