Abstract

Increasing product competitiveness in the face of very tight competition among Batik products is a must. If entrepreneurs are not focused on increasing competitiveness, batik products will not be able to compete with competitors from other regions such as Pekalongan, Semarang, Solo, and others. The research aims to determine the potential of Grobogan Batik products in the Grobogan district area, to determine efforts to increase the competitiveness of Batik Grobogan products and to determine the role of the local government in efforts to increase the competitiveness of Batik Grobongan products. This study uses a Qualitative Data Analysis with a descriptive exploratory research design. The results of the study can be concluded as follows, ways to determine competitiveness, among others (1) setting a low price but with the same quality means good quality. This needs to streamline the cost aspect. (2) Performing differentiation means offering or doing different things compared to competitors. Something offered is different, will give attention to consumers. Different, the intention is not just different, for example, it differs only in motives and gives uniqueness. (3) Service can also be used as a competitive advantage for companies. Companies that can provide service excellence can satisfy customers and increase customer loyalty. (4) Develop marketing online, for example by E-commerce, so that the marketing area can be even broader.
