Abstract

This research was conducted in North Sumatra Province in 2010-2019. The research conducted uses secondary data and uses Eviews 7. The purpose of this study is to find out how much influence government spending (health and education), poverty, unemployment, and economic growth has on HDI. The results show that government spending (health and education), poverty, unemployment have a positive effect on HDI, while economic growth has no significant effect on HDI. Government expenditure variables (health and education), poverty, unemployment together have a significant effect on HDI
