POLA ASUH ORANG TUA DALAM MENANAMKAN KARAKTER RELIGIUS ANAK MELALUI BACA TULIS AL-QUR’AN DI DESA LAU GUMBA KAB.KARO

Abstract

Parenting is the approach of parents to engage directly with children in guiding, nurturing, and teaching their children in their daily life, with the aim of helping their children reach maturity according to society's standards. Consideration of the cultivation of religious beliefs is very important for all education stakeholders, especially parents and teachers. This study aims to determine: 1) How parenting styles instill children's religious character through reading and writing the Koran in Lau Gumba village. 2) What are the factors that influence parents in instilling children's religious character through reading and writing the Qur'an in Lau Gumba village. This research uses a qualitative research type. The results showed that there were several types of parenting styles for their children, namely: 1) Permissive parenting, 2). Authoritarian parenting style, 3) Democratic parenting style. The factors that influence parenting patterns in instilling children's religious character through reading and writing the Qur'an are: Parent's education level, parents' economic status or occupation and parental personality.
