EKSPLORASI BAKTERI PROTEOLITIK DARI ILEUM GALLUS GALLUS SEBAGAI KANDIDAT AGEN PROBIOTIK PAKAN TERNAK UNGGAS LOKAL
Abstract
This study aims to exploration and investigate proteolytic bacteria from ileum of Gallus gallus as probiotic agent candidates in local poultry feed. This research was conducted in the Village of Klambir V and Laboratory at Pembangunan Panca Budi University, Medan. The exploratory research method included bacterial isolation, activity of proteolytic bacterial and proteolytic bacterial staining. The results showed that there were twenty proteolytic isolates with different morphological characteristics of the bacteria. Ten isolates belong to the group of gram-positive bacteria and ten isolates belong to the group of gram-negative bacteria. There are three isolates with the highest enzyme production, there are GP sp. 1, GP sp. 3 and GP sp. 4 with Proteolytic Index (IP) value of 1,500, 1,533, and 1,531 and the three isolates with the lowest enzyme production in GP sp. 9, GP sp. 11 and GP sp. 13 with Proteolytic Index (IP) values of 0.696, 0.641, and 0.562. Based on the research results, GP sp. 1, GP sp. 3 and GP sp. 4 has high enzyme production and include to the group of gram-positive bacteria so that, three isolates have the potential to be candidates for probiotic agents for local poultry feed.
